Tesla shares trading higher after asking shareholders to vote on authorizing additional shares

$Tesla(TSLA.US)$ shares are trading higher after the company announced the Board of Directors has approved the management's proposal for an increase in the number of authorized shares of common stock in order to enable a stock split of the Co.'s stock in the form of a stock dividend. Co. also announced its plans to request shareholders' approval.
