TheNational Academy of Engineeringannounced on Wednesday it has elected Tesla and SpaceX CEOElon Muskas one of its new members. The CEO invited the membership for his many works onSpaceX and the designs of the rocketsthat include reusable launch vehicles that changed the industry.
"Musk, Elon Reeve, founder, chief executive officer, and chief engineer, SpaceX, Hawthorne, Calif. For breakthroughs in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and operation of reusable launch vehicles and sustainable transportation and energy systems,” reads the bio for Musk.
Elon Musk retweeted an announcement from the official Twitter account of the National Academy of Engineering for the statement regarding the induction of new members to the academy. The CEO and billionaire got elected as an academy member, and he expressed his gratitude here online.
