In a recent meeting, Google executives are acknowledging employee concerns about rising inflation, but say they have no plans to respond with a companywide pay increase.SweatsSweats
"Inflation does seem to be atop of mind for a lot of folks, and I think one of the reasons is that people are pretty eager to get their compensation that works," said Frank Wagner, Google’s vice president of compensation.
He said company leadership would be releasing letters to managers this week so employees will learn their compensation awards for the next year.
However, he went on to say that while Google is trying to pay competitively, it won’t introduce companywide adjustments for inflation.
Inflation topped 6% in October, the highest since 1990, meaning consumers across the country are paying more for gas and groceries.

      • Hobbit Green Man : I like your post for the information you're putting out. but I'm sad seeing the information I know the last 4 months my pocketbook has been feeling it. 6 months ago average price a month according to my coinbase card I spend all my money on it so I get the best cash back. anyways over the last several months I buy basically the same things in the same amount at Sam's and then Albertsons each month. so including food and gas it's went from 950 to abou 1020, 1,133 to last months breakdown was $675 at Sam's $243 at Albertsons. this is the most ridiculous 298 on gas for the month. and I don't drive much that was three tanks of gas and I have a great gas mileage around 34 avg on highway. about 23 average in town. but my gosh it used to take 31 to top it off with little less than a quarter of a tank left. now it takes average about 75.

      • Hobbit Green Man : most people are dumbfounded and ignorant just the truth, " have many in my family that just Cruise along don't care about anything or even really care" especially in the grand scheme of things geopolitical national local people just want to live provide for their family have peace of mind. but when it hits the common people's pocketbooks which it does it don't affect the rich only the poor and middle class. all this is is a tax on myself being poor was lower middle class no more. and these punks are flying around and private jets saying we just need to learn to live with less and pay more. I am bewildered " Aron Lewis am I the only one"
