The General Office of the Ministry of Education and four other departments recently jointly issued the “Notice on Further Regulating Work Related to After-School Services in Compulsory Education”. The “Notice” proposes that it is strictly prohibited to expand the scope at will; it is strictly prohibited to force students to participate; it is strictly prohibited to increase students' schoolwork burden; it is strictly prohibited to charge random charges in the name of after-school services; and that institutions and personnel that do not meet the conditions are strictly prohibited from entering schools to provide after-school services.
