On August 25, we learned from Dongfeng Nissan that the case where Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. sued Beijing Cheqianli Interactive Technology Co., Ltd. for an online tort liability dispute was tried in the second instance by the Wuhan Intermediate People's Court of Hubei Province. The verdict was as follows: the appeal was rejected and the original judgment upheld. At the same time, the second instance verdict was final. The Wuhan Intermediate People's Court of Hubei Province ruled that Che Qianli deleted all videos (including text, pictures, video, and user comments) relating to the “New Generation Qijun Model” series published on the Douyin platform under the “Oxcar Lab” account, and publicly apologized to Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. in video or text. The apology was kept at the top for 30 days, and compensated Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. for 5 million yuan in economic losses.
